But this time they have taken a step further and unveiled a flagship killer smartphone at a price of mid-range smartphone. Yu Yutopia gives a clear competition to this year’s another flagship killer smartphone, OnePlus 2. Marketed as the world’s fastest smartphone, Yu Yutopia has some mindboggling specs on sheet. Let’s take a look on them first.
Talking about the feel and look of the device, Yu Yutopia is made up of aluminium and magnesium chassis, which reciprocate a premium look. The phone is slim and sleek; and is available in Silver variant only. It is a dual SIM smartphone, where you get a hybrid SIM slot. On the back, you get a 21-megapixel camera accompanied with a dual-tone LED flash unit. Under the camera ring, you will get a fingerprint scanner ring.

The company has installed all powerful features in Yu Yutopia that keeps it above all other mid-range smartphones. Yutopia comes with a 2K Display, which is capable of giving excellent clarity and sharpness. The company claims that it has the world’s most advanced IPS LCD panel. You will get a round fingerprint scanner on the back of the phone just below the Camera ring. You can also use the fingerprint scanner to take a selfie as well just by tapping on it. For better call quality, the phone has a dual microphone setup with noise cancellation.

Talking about the specification of the smartphone, the company has powered some of the best features in terms of hardware and software to the phone that it can compete with any of the other flagship smartphone like Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6s.
Display –wise, the phone hosts a 5.2-inch, Quad HD IPS display along with Corning’s Concore glass, which guarantees durability and toughness. Colour reproduction and viewing angles are impressive. Coming to its software, the phone is running on CynogenMod v12.1 based on Android Lollipop OS. Under the hood, you will get a powerful processor – an Octa core. The phone has Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. You will get 32GB of onboard storage, which can be expanded upto 128GB via a MicroSD card. On the front, there is an 8 megapixels camera, which shows better and detailed selfies.
Yu Yutopia Price: Affordable
At Rs 24999, Yu Yutopia is undoubtedly an elegant premium smartphone with some great specs on sheet. But having great specs does not always mean value-for-money phone. There are some flaws in camera department that needs to get updated in the next variant. Ditto for Fingerprint scanner. It is not as fast as other flagship smartphones. Adding some flagship smartphone features like NFC, Wireless Charging and USB Type C would definitely give this phone an edge over other mid-range smartphones. Talking about its direct competitor, OnePlus 2 topples the list.
